Our Mission
The Glen Lake Schools Foundation (GLSF) is a 501 (c)3 dedicated to removing any barriers that might hinder a student's learning. We will also work to meet any unfilled needs that might enrich or expand the student experience at Glen Lake Community Schools. While the GLSF is a separate organization from the public school, we work solely to support Glen Lake Community Schools. Our volunteer board is composed of alumni, parents, and community members.
What We Do
We work to remove barriers to opportunities and academic success. We raise money to help alleviate any impediment to student learning. We will continue to donate to our school's Student Assistance Fund enabling counselors and teachers to apply for funds for students whose basic necessities that cannot be afforded otherwise. We will support things like field trips, requests from staff, resources for a new program, and any other worthy idea that is brought to our attention. The process of project selection will be fair and transparent
We remove barriers to continuing education. The Foundation is responsible for the oversight of many the scholarships that our seniors receive each year. In our management of these funds, we pledge responsible financial stewardship, ensuring that funds are allocated effectively and as envisioned by our donors. Over the years, generous donors have created scholarships to students who have exhibited academic success, exceptional talent, exemplary character and vocational talents.
